Hair steaming works excellently for natural hair. The process adds moisture to dry, thirsty tresses. Furthermore, the associated heat helps conditioning or treatment masks penetrate deeper into the hair shaft.

The best characteristic of this product is its portability. You can easily take it along when traveling. Moreover, its non-bulky design means you can use it in various locations.
This hair steamer lends itself to easy cleaning. Plastic lines the inside of the cap, so you can easily wipe it clean with a damp cloth. Furthermore, you can remove the outside cover and hand wash it.
Also, extra water becomes a thing of the past with this product. The steamer utilizes the water present on your damp hair for steaming. No need to measure, clean up spills, or deal with the mineral deposits that can be associated with traditional steamers.
Additionally, the unit has over-temperature protection built into it. This natural hair care product will automatically stop heating once it reaches max temperature. So, you will have a safeguard in place to avoid a fire hazard.
Cons of the Vicarko Portable Hair Steamer
I did notice a couple of other product features I wanted to discuss. These items were not game-changers for me, but some individuals may consider them drawbacks.
First, this hair steamer is corded. Thus, it would help if you positioned yourself relatively close to an electrical outlet when using the cap. However, you would encounter the same circumstance with a traditional steamer.
I do want to provide a word of caution. You never want to plug heat-generating appliances into extension cords. Consequently, the extension could overheat and cause a fire.
Second, the product would benefit from having more heat settings. You can set the steamer to high or low heat. A medium heat setting or temperature-controlled settings would provide the cap with a definite upgrade.
Even with these minor negatives, this hair appliance would make a substantial addition to any natural hair journey.
Natural Hair Care Products 2: Arvazallia Hydrating Argan Oil Mask
I hope you know by now that I am a strong advocate of deep conditioning. You only have to do it once or twice a week to reap positive benefits.
The moisture you gain will improve hair’s elasticity, appearance, and manageability. The added nutrients help support vibrant, growing natural hair through a healthy scalp.
Pros of the Arvazallia Hydrating Argan Oil Mask
First, the Arvazallia hydrating hair mask contains argan oil. Thus, your scalp and tresses will be supplied with antioxidants to fight free radical damage.
Additionally, argan oil penetrates while it seals. So, the vitamins and nutrients for hair health will have a better opportunity to get into the hair shaft.
Among the products for curly hair, this one works nicely to improve the feel and appearance of tresses. When I use it, my hair seems to retain more moisture. I also notice less frizz and more curl definition.
Moreover, managing and styling the hair becomes more comfortable. I saw less tangling when consistently using the product. The hair mask also possesses an excellent slip for detangling.
This hair product does not contain sulfates or parabens.
Cons of the Arvazallia Hydrating Argan Oil Mask
Every honest review will include shortcomings. Why? Perfect natural hair products for 4C hair, or any other hair type, do not exist.
So, I noticed with this hair mask a smaller amount per container than the standard 12 ounces. Arvazallia appears to supply 8.45 ounces per container for its deep conditioners. However, I was able to perform 4-5 conditioning sessions from each tub.
Next, this product does contain silicone and EDTA. As such, it may irritate some users. Furthermore, this mask gets manufactured in China.
Yet, the benefits I have seen with this product outweigh the potential negatives. So, it has rightly earned its place on my list.

Detangling presents one of the many ways you can go wrong within a natural hair journey. You create more harm than good if you detangle improperly. When done correctly, detangling sessions will leave you with less hair breakage, no pain, fewer new tangles, and nonexistent matting.

Many hair tools for curly hair boast greater ease during detangling. However, this brush lives up to expectations for a few reasons.
The rows of teeth on the detangling tool flex, meaning they move with your hair. The feature provides for a gentler experience with decreased friction and pulling on strands. As a result, you’ll suffer less breakage while removing tangles and knots.
Additionally, this brush makes cleaning much more manageable than the other tools I have used. Its design allows you to get in between the rows and teeth to remove any product residues. Also, you won’t have to fight to remove shed hairs.
The package comes with two brushes. So, you have a backup tool. Alternatively, you can gift the extra one to another natural-haired friend. This natural hair care tool also comes in a variety of colors to suit your preferences.

As for the disadvantages of this particular hair tool, I identified only a couple. Moreover, the items I did find were things all naturals should already know. But we will cover them anyway.
Even though the description says you can, do not use this brush on dry curly or kinky hair. That scenario invites disaster. Detangling works best when it involves a slip-laden natural hair care product applied to the tresses.
Likewise, the size of this brush makes it less than ideal for use on smaller sections. The detangling tool is sizable. So, you will have a tough time reaching hair close to the scalp without catching hair from an adjacent area when working in smaller pieces.
All in all, this detangling brush rises above average when compared with other natural hair care products.

Natural Hair Care Product 4: Coffee Moringa Sage Infused Oil
Excellent scalp oils are a must-have on a natural hair journey. They work to promote the best scalp health by providing nutrients and vitamins.
Similarly, scalp oils make those necessary scalp massages quite inviting. Also, when you go the do-it-yourself (DIY) route, you can tailor the oil to address any scalp issues you may be experiencing.
Pros of Coffee Moringa Sage Infused Oil
This oil makes my list of natural hair products for 4C hair for several reasons. First, this product is DIY. As such, you control the ingredients. Nothing but wholesome items will go into the mix.
Subsequently, the components of the oil provide antioxidants, vitamins, and nutrients to the scalp. All these goodies prepare your scalp for increased vitality, meaning healthier natural hair will follow.
The coffee contained in the blend can help to fight hair loss and excessive hair fall. Furthermore, moringa may provide some defense against microbes, according to Medical News Today. Also, you can rub the oil on other areas of the body like the face, hands, feet, etc.
Cons of Coffee Moringa Sage Infused Oil
Now, let’s move on to possible minuses of this product for curly hair. This infused oil contains coffee. So, the finished oil can carry a strong coffee smell.
However, the addition of essential oils after the infusion process can change the odor. You could try lavender or frankincense to give the oil a little lift.
Also, my recipe uses castor oil in the blend for this infusion. Thus, the oil has a delightful consistency for my 4C, high-porosity hair. Yet, this may not be suitable for other curly or kinky hair types.
You can use thinner oils for the infusion if you foresee a problem. Alternately, you can mix 1 part of the infused oil into two parts of lighter carrier oil to solve the issue.
This oil takes several hours to make. Thus, you do have to plan ahead of time. The final result, however, will leave you with enough oil to last for months.
You can reap some incredible benefits with this infused oil, even if you feel the need to modify the recipe. As such, I know this product deserves consideration as part of this product rundown.

Natural Hair Care Products 5: Bloomy Biotin Collagen Keratin Treatment
If you are like me, your natural hair probably cannot be its best without the little ‘pick me up’ associated with a hair treatment. These natural hair care products often contain nutrients and vitamins to boost hair health beyond the effects of a regular deep conditioner.
Subsequently, treatment masks usually address specific hair challenges. This targeting helps increase the chances you will achieve the results you desire.

Likewise, the hair mask comes in an 8-ounce container. Yet, you can expect to get 4-5 applications out of a single tub. This scenario depends, of course, on the length and thickness of your hair.
Bloomy’s treatment does contain silicone and EDTA. Again, some consumers may feel some irritation with use.
Yet, I stick by my trial and error rule. You have to use a product more than once to get an authentic feel of how it works with your hair. I have one caveat to this decree. If your hair or scalp has an adverse reaction to a product, stop using it immediately.
This product remains one of my absolute favorites. The strengths far outweigh the weaknesses. So, I have no reservations with its inclusion on this list.
